Dr. Burnett is a Texas educator who possesses 25 years of experience in his field. He is currently a professor of integrated reading and writing (INRW) at San Jacinto College North and a professor of government at Houston Community College. Moreover, Ron has taught in public, charter, an alternative school, community colleges, and a university. He has written socio-political articles on the state of the U.S. Education System and various economic and sociopolitical topics. He is a former journalist who is an expert writer. However, since completing his journey of becoming a criminologist, crime and justice have become points of focus. Not enough scholarly work is being done on the very real and present danger of human trafficking. Living in the Houston area, it is clear there is much scholarship to be done since the city is one of the largest hubs for human trafficking in the nation. Lastly, Ron holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Journalism, a Master’s in Public Administration, and a Doctor of Administration of Justice degrees.
