Jonette Sheridan has been licensed in The State of Texas under the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, THHSC, as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor since 1998. As an LCDC she has counseled diverse, multiethnic populations to include adults in outpatient treatment ranging from 17 to 75 years of age. In addition, she has worked with children in multiple school settings as a prevention specialist with a more specific concentration in high school and alternative schools and teaching parent classes. Her passion for educating and promoting change in people’s lives has been her mission in this field.
As part of the requirement here in Texas, the understanding and overview of human trafficking has been part of her continuing education. With this newer field of study, Jonette has shifted her concerns to what is happening not only in Texas, but all around the world to not only include human trafficking but global organ trafficking. It is her desire to help and promote more education to others about CGOT and articulate its mission throughout Texas.
Jonette participates in volunteer activities within her community. She resides in South Texas with her husband and spends time with her family and grandchildren and enjoys traveling, gardening, weight training, and swimming.
